Manager, Software Engineering

LinkedIn is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to join their Media Infra organization, leading the Media Services team. The position involves working with Java MPs and native tools like FFmpeg, OpenCV, ImageMagick, and PDFBox.

As a Manager of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for leading and developing a team that handles all media uploads and playback on LinkedIn's platform. The role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring both deep engineering expertise and strong leadership skills. You'll work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between home and LinkedIn's Mountain View office.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year of management experience or staff-level engineering experience with management training. You should have strong programming skills in object-oriented languages, particularly Java, and understand distributed systems architecture.
