LinkedIn is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead their Search team, focusing on enhancing the search experience across consumer products. This role is pivotal in empowering members to discover whatever they need to achieve their professional objectives—spanning people, jobs, posts, videos, companies, schools, products, services, events, groups, and courses.

The position requires a leader with extensive expertise in search domain, particularly in Search AI and Search Infrastructure. You'll be working at the intersection of AI and search technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform LinkedIn Search into a dynamic, conversational and goal-oriented experience. This role offers the opportunity to impact LinkedIn's global community of over 1 billion members.

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll be responsible for developing comprehensive strategies, setting prioritization principles, and maximizing impact within product and business constraints. The role involves leading cross-organizational projects, shaping roadmaps, and delivering on OKRs while working with AI, Infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of product management experience, with preferred qualifications including an MS degree in a technology-related field and extensive experience with large-scale consumer search products. Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies is crucial, as is the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

LinkedIn offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay range of $180,000 to $290,000, plus annual performance bonus, stock options, and comprehensive benefits. The role provides the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, based in major tech hubs including Mountain View, San Francisco, New York, or Bellevue, allowing for both flexibility and in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities For Principal Product Manager, Search

  • Collaborate with a large cross-functional team including product, AI and infrastructure engineers, data scientists, designers, and business development to solve complex member problems
  • Create comprehensive strategies, set guiding principles for prioritization, and maximize impact within product and business constraints
  • Conduct product, experiment, competitor, and ROI analysis
  • Lead cross-org projects, shaping and influencing roadmaps, driving operational plans, and delivering on OKRs
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders

Requirements For Principal Product Manager, Search

  • BS/BA Degree in a technology related field OR equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in product management or equivalent role
  • 10+ years of product management experience preferred
  • MS degree in a technology-related field preferred
  • Extensive experience building large scale consumer search products, with deep understanding of Search AI and Infra
  • Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience leading projects with highly cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in data analysis
