LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Principal Staff Engineer to join their Security Infrastructure & Systems team. This role is crucial in maintaining LinkedIn's commitment to the highest standards of security and compliance, which is essential for building trust with members and partners.

The position focuses on securing data, which is core to LinkedIn's success and member trust. As part of the Security Infrastructure & Systems team, you'll work towards ensuring every data access at LinkedIn is safe. The team's mission is to make security intuitive, performant, and secure by building highly reliable and scalable services and developer-friendly infrastructure.

This is a high-profile, high-impact opportunity to re-architect LinkedIn's security infrastructure stack. You'll be working on projects that impact every aspect of the engineering organization, requiring expertise in designing large-scale security infrastructure and driving consensus. The role involves designing and implementing solutions to scale LinkedIn's security infrastructure to meet the demands of a rapidly growing user base.

Key responsibilities include contributing to data center infrastructure strategy, building security platforms at scale, and creating world-class solutions for authentication, authorization, secret management, and cryptography. You'll also play a crucial role in up-leveling and coaching talented developers while collaborating with senior technical leaders.

The ideal candidate brings extensive security knowledge, significant experience in software design and development, and a strong background in distributed systems. You should have at least 7 years of industry experience and demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming languages. Experience with cloud native computing technologies like Kubernetes and building/operating cryptographic systems at scale is highly valued.

LinkedIn offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary ranging from $203,000 to $333,000, plus annual performance bonus, stock options, and comprehensive benefits.
