Description For Senior Data Center Asset Management Engineer

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Senior Data Center Asset Management Engineer for their Richardson, TX location. This role is crucial in leading the design and implementation of Data Center Asset Management business processes. The position involves developing and maintaining policies, standards, processes, controls, and measurements that enable effective management of the DC Asset Portfolio.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize hardware supply chain, procurement, and inventory management controls. Key responsibilities include leading governance and compliance policies, ensuring proper asset tracking, partnering with Fixed Asset teams, and maintaining data integrity in asset management systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in hardware supply chain and asset management, with strong program and project management skills. They will be responsible for leading global efforts in retrofits, decommissions, and new construction within data center sites.

Responsibilities For Senior Data Center Asset Management Engineer

  • Lead the design, plans and execution of governance, compliance and security policies and processes of managing critical assets in the data center sites
  • Ensure the deployment of asset tag controls across all data center hardware
  • Partner with Fixed Asset team on data center asset reporting
  • Lead coordinated efforts that impact global timelines for retrofits, decommissions, and new construction
  • Serve as a product owner for all related asset management tools and systems
  • Ensure data integrity of all asset records in the data center asset database
  • Lead in the design reports and dashboards to visualize data center asset operational metrics

Requirements For Senior Data Center Asset Management Engineer

Linux
  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware supply chain, asset management, procurement or vendor management in a technology environment
  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Incident Management and Asset Management tools
  • Program and Project Management skills
