This role will be based in Manassas, VA and requires in-office presence on a full-time basis due to the nature of work being completed or the equipment used on site. This helps to ensure you are set up for success based on the job responsibilities.
As a Senior Engineer in our Data Center team, you will be responsible for managing the installation, configuration, and reporting of thousands of in-rack power distribution units, busway power monitors, and overall sensor deployment and maintenance. You will work closely with various teams to maintain the accuracy of our DCIM tools, sensors, and underlying power and cooling infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include: • Configuring and troubleshooting cabinet power strips and busway monitors • Working with data center providers' Building Management Systems (BMS) • Collaborating with third-party monitoring application providers • Administering and understanding data center/white-space infrastructure designs • Handling data center power strip and busway monitor deployments • Engineering and designing data center infrastructure • Developing and maintaining processes and procedures for data center infrastructure management • Supporting Controls projects and commissioning activities • Training and assisting internal customers and stakeholders • Providing technical assistance and support throughout the data center lifecycle • Deploying software and automation improvements • Supporting and improving data center monitoring applications • Developing and maintaining standards for operating procedures and problem incident management • Analyzing and resolving critical engineering issues
