LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Senior Data Center Engineer to join their team in Manassas, VA. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing LinkedIn's data center infrastructure, which forms the backbone of their global professional networking platform.
The position requires in-office presence full-time due to the hands-on nature of the work with critical infrastructure and equipment. As a Senior Data Center Engineer, you'll be responsible for the evaluation, installation, and maintenance of data collection and power distribution systems within the data center. This includes managing thousands of in-rack power distribution units, busway power monitors, and sensor deployments.
Key responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting cabinet power strips, working with Building Management Systems (BMS), collaborating with third-party monitoring applications, and ensuring seamless integration of various infrastructure components. You'll also be involved in developing and maintaining processes for power planning, structured cabling, and mechanical needs.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments, along with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering. You should be comfortable creating technical documentation, managing multiple stakeholders, and working with various monitoring and management systems like DCIM, EPMS, and BMS applications.
