The Security Infrastructure team's mission is to make security intuitive, performant, and secure across LinkedIn's extensive microservices architecture and big data systems. As the manager, you'll lead a team of 5-10 talented engineers focused on building highly reliable and scalable security services that protect our members' data.
Your responsibilities will span technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll drive key architectural decisions for authentication, authorization, and cryptography solutions while mentoring and growing engineering talent. The role requires deep technical expertise in distributed systems and security infrastructure, combined with strong leadership abilities.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of industry experience in software development, with at least 1 year of management experience or staff-level engineering with management training. You should be well-versed in object-oriented programming languages and have experience with large-scale distributed systems. Security expertise, particularly in PKI, OAuth, and Kubernetes security, is highly valued.
