Sr. Staff Software Engineer- Validation & Resilience Engineering

LinkedIn is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to join their Validation & Resilience Engineering team. This is a key technical leadership role focused on ensuring the health and reliability of LinkedIn's infrastructure at scale. The position combines deep technical expertise in distributed systems with strategic leadership responsibilities.

The role involves building high-quality validation tooling and infrastructure that enables LinkedIn engineers to deliver value to members rapidly and reliably. You'll be responsible for preventing defects early in the SDLC process and automating solutions to mitigate issues proactively. The metrics you'll oversee have high visibility across R&D and influence long-term strategy and investment decisions.

As a technical leader, you'll work closely with teams across LinkedIn's engineering organization - from infrastructure to product teams. You'll drive the technical direction of validation systems while also helping shape the broader organizational strategy as LinkedIn's technology landscape evolves. This requires both hands-on technical skills and the ability to influence at the leadership level.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, with at least 5 years in technical leadership roles. Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, Go or Rust are essential, as is deep knowledge of operating systems, containers, and distributed architectures. You should be passionate about building reliable systems at scale and have experience working with AI/ML teams.
