Staff Engineer - Infrastructure Security

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Staff Engineer for Infrastructure Security to join their Information Security organization. This hybrid role, based in Mountain View, focuses on securing LinkedIn's platform that serves over 700 million members globally.

The Platform Security team provides security architecture and design services throughout LinkedIn, ensuring the protection of infrastructure and data systems. The role requires an experienced professional who can help LinkedIn maintain its position as a trusted organization through innovative security solutions.

As a Security Partner, you'll be responsible for the security risk posture of partner engineering organizations, working to shift security engagement left. You'll build deep relationships with partners and contribute to creating a frictionless engagement model with the Security Organization.

Key responsibilities include partnering with architects and engineers to build threat models, design secure systems, and perform security assessments. You'll need to effectively communicate risk decisions and drive security initiatives. The role involves building proof of concepts, influencing technical architecture, and mentoring team members.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in information security principles, including threat modeling, security architecture, and secure system design. Strong knowledge of container security, data security, network security, and CI/CD security is essential. Experience with cloud environments, Linux deployments, and Python scripting is required.
