Staff Engineer - Infrastructure Security

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Staff Engineer for Infrastructure Security to join their Information Security organization. This role is critical in protecting LinkedIn's infrastructure that serves over 700 million members globally.

The position is part of LinkedIn's Platform Security team, which provides security architecture and design services throughout the organization. The team's vision is to appropriately secure all infrastructure and data systems that power the LinkedIn experience and the tooling that empowers engineers.

As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Partnering with architects and engineers across the organization to build threat models and design secure systems
• Performing security design assessments and developing solutions for identified risks
• Building proof of concepts to validate security recommendations in LinkedIn's tech stack
• Driving security initiatives and communicating risk decisions effectively
• Mentoring team members and coaching Security Champions

The ideal candidate brings:

• 7+ years of experience in information security principles
• Deep knowledge of container security, data security, and network security
• Strong experience with cloud environments and Linux systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
• Background in securing large-scale networks and systems

LinkedIn offers a competitive compensation package including:

• Base salary range of $147,000 to $240,000
