Staff Engineer - Infrastructure Security

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Staff Engineer for Infrastructure Security to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement at their Mountain View office. The position sits within LinkedIn's Information Security organization, specifically in the Platform Security team, which provides security architecture and design services throughout the organization. The team's vision is to appropriately secure all infrastructure and data systems that power the LinkedIn experience and the tooling that empowers engineers.

As a Staff Engineer in Infrastructure Security, you'll be responsible for partnering with architects, engineers, and site reliability engineers across the organization. Your key responsibilities will include building threat models, designing secure systems, performing security design assessments, and helping identify and mitigate security risks. You'll also be tasked with building proof of concepts, articulating risk decisions effectively, and driving security initiatives within partner organizations.

The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in information security principles, including threat modeling, security architecture, secure system design, and network security. Strong knowledge of container security, data security, and CI/CD security is essential. Additionally, 3+ years of experience with cloud environments, Linux deployments, and Python scripting is required.
