Staff Engineer - Infrastructure Security

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Staff Engineer for Infrastructure Security to join their Information Security organization. This role is critical in protecting LinkedIn's infrastructure that serves over 700 million members globally. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement at the Mountain View office.

The Platform Security team provides security architecture and design services throughout LinkedIn, focusing on appropriately securing all infrastructure and data systems. As a Security Partner, you'll own the security risk posture of partner engineering organizations while working to shift security engagement left. You'll collaborate with architects, engineers, and SREs to build threat models, design secure systems, and develop solutions for identified risks.

The role requires extensive experience in information security principles, including threat modeling, security architecture, and secure system design. You'll need deep knowledge of container security, data security, network security, and CI/CD security. Experience with cloud environments, Linux deployments, and Python scripting is essential.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with partner organizations, conducting security assessments, developing proof of concepts, and mentoring team members. You'll also identify and coach Security Champions within partner teams.
