Staff Information Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking a Staff Information Security Engineer to join their Information Security organization. This role is critical in securing LinkedIn's infrastructure that supports over 700 million members globally. The position is hybrid-based in Mountain View, offering flexibility between remote work and office presence.

The Platform Security team at LinkedIn provides security architecture and design services throughout the organization. Their vision is to appropriately secure all infrastructure and data systems that power the LinkedIn experience and the tooling that empowers engineers. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual who can balance theoretical security concepts with practical implementation.

As a Security Partner, you'll own the security risk posture of partner engineering organizations while working to shift security engagement left. Key responsibilities include building threat models, performing security design assessments, and developing proof of concepts to validate security recommendations. You'll need to effectively communicate risk decisions and drive security initiatives across the organization.

The role requires extensive experience in information security principles, including threat modeling, security architecture, and secure system design. Specific expertise in container security, data security, network security, and CI/CD security is essential. Experience with cloud environments, Linux deployments, and Python scripting is also required.
