Description For Staff Product Designer, LinkedIn Talent Solutions

LinkedIn is seeking a Staff Product Designer for their Talent Solutions team. This role will be based in Mountain View, Sunnyvale, San Francisco, or New York City, with a hybrid work option. The ideal candidate will lead by connecting user insights, design patterns, and business goals. They will collaborate with various teams including user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and user-centered design processes
  • Create holistic design solutions addressing business, brand, and user requirements
  • Work with web developers and engineers to deliver final products
  • Participate in the complete product development lifecycle of web or software applications
  • Drive strategy and vision for projects and teams
  • Deliver design solutions for unstructured problems with many dependencies
  • Contribute ideas that influence product strategy on adjacent teams

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in user experience design or industry experience
  • Strong experience in delivering large-scale projects independently
  • Excellent visual communication skills
  • Ability to solve unstructured problems and transform ambiguity into actionable plans
  • Portfolio showcasing work samples
