Staff Software Engineer - Infrastructure Business Engineering

LinkedIn is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop and manage infrastructure business operations software and data systems from concept through production life-cycle. The successful candidate will lead, build, and manage development and operations of software/data/process solutions to transform data center infrastructure engineering and operations. Key focus areas include hardware forecasting, power capacity planning, financial planning and management, sourcing/procurement/supply-chain management, hardware fulfillment, and asset life-cycle management.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving strategy and vision for transforming data center infrastructure operations
• Analyzing current systems, identifying gaps, and designing high-impact solutions
• Championing customer success and delivering measurable ROI
• Architecting and building distributed systems
• Developing scalable applications with 24x7 uptime
• Designing backend systems and APIs
• Creating reusable UI/UX components
• Ensuring code quality and best practices
• Providing technical leadership on large-scale, cross-functional projects
• Improving engineering productivity
• Mentoring junior engineers
• Supporting production systems

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions
• 5+ years programming experience in object-oriented languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, or Ruby)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong database design and development skills
• API development and integration experience
• UI/UX development proficiency
• Distributed systems development expertise
• Version control and collaboration tools knowledge
• Familiarity with LLM Application Stack
