VP, Development Engineering

LinkedIn is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of R&D Regulatory Compliance to lead their global compliance initiatives. This critical role will oversee R&D programs and develop technology that enables LinkedIn to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations while fostering trust and accountability.

The position requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in engineering leadership and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing compliance programs for global organizations, particularly in the tech industry. They should possess in-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, content regulations, and industry-specific compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing LinkedIn's R&D compliance strategy, creating company-wide compliance programs, managing regulatory risks, and building relationships with regulatory bodies. The role involves close collaboration with legal, HR, product, and engineering teams to integrate compliance into all aspects of LinkedIn's operations.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing R&D regulatory compliance team and be responsible for responding to regulatory investigations and audits. They should have strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and experience with global regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and DMA.

This hybrid role offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $284,000 to $466,000, plus annual performance bonus, stock options, and comprehensive benefits. The position is based in Mountain View, CA, with flexibility to work both remotely and from the office.
