Description For Construction Project Engineer / Supervisor

Lochmueller Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Supervisor to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing firm involved in a variety of street, roadway, highway, and multi-modal transportation projects for local public agencies and state DOTs.

The ideal candidate will serve as the resident project representative or project supervisor for construction projects of varying size and complexity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring project completion in conformance with plans, specifications, and approved schedules
  • Coordinating and running project meetings
  • Establishing relationships with project owners
  • Supervising construction inspectors
  • Interpreting plans and specifications
  • Overseeing material sampling, testing, and inspection
  • Preparing progress reports, final estimates, and change orders
  • Supervising utility relocation work

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Experience as a construction inspector or supervisor on DOT or local agency projects
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for road, bridge, and sewer construction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
