Responsibilities For Traffic Project Engineer III
- Serve as project engineer/manager on traffic engineering projects
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements
- Take lead role in project planning, design, and implementation
- Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources
- Delegate work to project team members
- Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Review project documents for quality and compliance
- Assist as technical specialist in traffic engineering
Requirements For Traffic Project Engineer III
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field
- 8+ years of relevant traffic engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Experience with Synchro 10 and traffic signal operations
- Experience with innovative intersection configurations
- Experience with Highway Safety Manual methods
- Experience with traffic forecasting methods
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Ability to work in collaborative team environment
