Responsibilities For Traffic Project Engineer III

  • Serve as project engineer/manager on traffic engineering projects
  • Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements
  • Take lead role in project planning, design, and implementation
  • Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources
  • Delegate work to project team members
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Review project documents for quality and compliance
  • Assist as technical specialist in traffic engineering

Requirements For Traffic Project Engineer III

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field
  • 8+ years of relevant traffic engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Experience with Synchro 10 and traffic signal operations
  • Experience with innovative intersection configurations
  • Experience with Highway Safety Manual methods
  • Experience with traffic forecasting methods
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work in collaborative team environment
