Description For Customer Operations Engineer

Loft Orbital is seeking a Customer Operations Engineer (COE) to join their team. COEs ensure exceptional customer experiences throughout Loft mission deployments, leveraging deep technical knowledge to address customer objectives and serve as the primary contact for on-orbit mission execution. They facilitate issue resolution and collaborate with Product teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as Loft's frontline interface with customers, helping them use Cockpit's tools effectively for mission planning and payload operations
  • Working with customers and internal stakeholders to identify low-friction solutions to customer needs
  • Improving Cockpit functionality as a developer through implementation improvements and automation
  • Translating customer feedback into Cockpit's feature roadmap

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a space company or organization, with exposure to satellite operations and/or assembly, integration, and test
  • Exposure to both ground software and flight software
  • Experience writing software scripts in Python
  • Exposure to Docker containers and general DevOps
  • Preferred: Experience with GNC / Orbits
  • Nice to have: GraphQL, UI Design, Experience operating systems at scale
