Description For Information Security Engineer

We are looking for an Information Security Engineer to join our team. The role will involve designing security protocols, conducting audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. The primary focus will be on maintaining data confidentiality and integrity to ensure robust defenses against evolving cybersecurity risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security protocols to safeguard digital assets
  • Protect sensitive information from cyber threats
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cybersecurity designs
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data
  • Respond to security breaches and incidents
  • Conduct thorough post-incident analyses
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
  • Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities
  • Recommend new security technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology
  • Experience with incident detection and response, forensics, and vulnerability management
  • Proficiency in using security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption
  • Knowledge of network and system security, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats
  • Knowledgeable use of AI systems is an asset
