In this role, you'll work on exciting projects such as:
- Designing systems to automatically detect common user paths across millions of events
- Implementing real-time search across billions of log entries
- Building machine learning pipelines for automatic bug detection
- Automating database scaling for improved cost efficiency
- Creating systems for recommending integrations based on customer toolsets
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in full stack or backend development, preferably in SaaS. You should be experienced with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Strong collaboration skills, mentorship abilities, and a track record of delivering high-quality work are essential.

Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer
- Design systems to automatically detect the most common user paths across millions of events
- Implement a search backend that allows users to search in real time across billions of log entries
- Build a machine learning pipeline that automatically detects bugs in our users' apps
- Automate database scaling to improve operating cost while maintaining the ability to respond to traffic spikes
- Build a system that automatically recommends integrations for customers based on their toolset
Requirements For Lead Software Engineer
- 7+ years of experience in a full stack or backend development role, preferably with a SaaS company
- Experience with state of the art cloud technologies, including architectural principles, specific tools of the trade, and their strengths and weaknesses
- Hands-on experience building and redesigning highly available distributed systems
- Familiarity with modern Javascript-based applications and frameworks
- Experience in development environments with demanding scalability or availability requirements
- Strong collaboration skills, transparency about progress, and ability to work effectively with the team
- Proven success collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams
- Ability to act as a mentor to junior engineers and provide coaching to upskill other team members
