Responsibilities For Data Scientist

  • Mine and extract data and apply statistics and algorithms to derive insights
  • Support generation of automated insights generation framework
  • Provide actionable insights through data science on Personalization, Search & Navigation, SEO & Promotions, Supply Chain, Services
  • Track success through dashboard reports measuring financial results, customer satisfaction, and engagement metrics
  • Conduct deep statistical analysis including predictive and prescriptive modeling
  • Collaborate across functions in Lowe's and Lowe's Digital
  • Translate requirements into analytical approach
  • Build data visualization dashboards

Requirements For Data Scientist

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or related field
  • 2 years experience in statistical modeling and extracting insights from data
  • Experience with Python packages for data wrangling and machine learning (sklearn, pandas, numpy)
  • Experience with unsupervised learning, regression, XGBoost
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis
  • Experience translating business requirements into mathematical framework
  • Experience developing in-house tools and libraries
  • Experience with Git and version control
  • Experience with large datasets for deep learning applications
