Description For Director, Software Engineering- OMS

Lowe's, a FORTUNE 50 home improvement retail giant, is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead their Order Management System (OMS) teams at their ultramodern Tech Hub in Charlotte. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape the technology direction for a company serving 16 million weekly customers across 1,700+ stores.

As Director, you'll partner with product leaders to set strategic priorities and manage engineering teams building mission-critical solutions. You'll need to bring 10+ years of software engineering experience, with proven success leading global tech teams and working with senior leadership. The role requires both technical depth and business acumen - you'll be responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions while managing operational budgets and vendor relationships.

The position offers an exceptional opportunity to drive innovation at scale. Lowe's CEO and CIO (one of Forbes' Top 50) are deeply committed to technology transformation. You'll have access to cutting-edge tools and resources, with the autonomy to create new solutions. The modern Tech Hub facility features collaborative workspaces, amenities like an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and a culture that encourages innovation.

The comprehensive benefits package includes a 401k with 4.25% match, discounted stock purchase plan, parental leave, tuition assistance, and complete healthcare coverage. Beyond compensation, you'll be part of a 100-year-old company that combines stability with a startup-like appetite for innovation. The collaborative culture brings together diverse perspectives and encourages career growth in multiple directions.

This role offers the rare combination of enterprise-scale impact, modern technology practices, strong leadership support, and the chance to shape the future of retail technology.
