This role combines technical expertise with security leadership to protect the organization's sensitive data and infrastructure.

The position is based at Lowe's Charlotte Technology Hub, offering a hybrid work arrangement with two days per week in-office requirement. Responsibilities For Sr. Technical Engineer, Information Security (Data Security & Encryption)

  • Support the discovery process to identify data security risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements
  • Support the design and implementation of a robust data security program
  • Develop and implement data security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data security controls
  • Design and implement security monitoring and incident response mechanisms
  • Provide technical expertise on data security best practices
  • Monitor security systems and review logs
  • Evaluate complex application and hosting environments to identify weaknesses
  • Lead break/fix activities and security breach response
  • Complete custom enhancements using secure coding techniques

Requirements For Sr. Technical Engineer, Information Security (Data Security & Encryption)

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 5 Years of experience in technology system support or software development
  • 2 Years of experience with information security applications and systems
  • 2 Years of experience with Data Security and Encryption
  • 2 Years of experience working with key management services (GCP, KMS, AWS)
  • 2 Years of experience working with key controls (Thales, Entrust, Hashi Corp, Vault)
  • 2 Years of experience working with HSMS or KMIP
