Responsibilities For Mass Properties Engineer

  • Collaborate in weight statement tracking and maintenance
  • Develop tools to predict airship performance
  • Evaluate impact of modifications on airship weight and balance
  • Support airship operations for indoor and outdoor activities
  • Provide W&B data for flight planning
  • Collaborate with FTE and Pilots for safe load configuration
  • Create specialized tools for calculations and simulations
  • Ensure calculations adhere to performance requirements
  • Work with ME, GNC, FTE departments and operations teams

Requirements For Mass Properties Engineer

Python
  • BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Aviation or similar
  • Ability to calculate weight distribution, center of gravity, center of buoyancy
  • Ability to analyze flight test data
  • Understanding of materials and load limits
  • Experience using MATLAB/Python
  • Experience using MS Excel/Sheets
  • Experience using SolidWorks and PDM software
  • Familiarity with aerodynamics and buoyancy principles
  • Familiarity with aircraft operations
  • Good communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven abilities in multitasking
