Description For Staff Advanced Product Quality Engineer, Powertrain & Tier 1 Customers

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Advanced Product Quality Engineer to lead the development of Tier 1 customer-facing Quality Management Systems and oversee Powertrain Advanced Product Quality. This high-visibility role requires technical expertise, passion, and exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence outcomes within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality plans for Lucid as a Tier 1 Powertrain Supplier
  • Serve as the primary contact for Tier 1 customers on quality-related matters
  • Oversee and manage Tier 1 customer external audits
  • Lead corrective actions and process improvements
  • Drive root cause analysis for quality issues
  • Design programs for product quality and reliability requirements
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities
  • Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001, AIAG/IATF16949, and ISO26262 standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
  • Technical Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in Powertrain components
  • Expertise in GD&T, Problem Solving, DFMEA, DFM, APQP, Lean Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quality management software
  • Experience in supplier quality or corporate quality
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
