You'll be responsible for managing cell test data infrastructure, analyzing failure modes, and optimizing testing processes. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and expertise in using various software tools including Python and SQL. You'll contribute to critical product validation from early development through manufacturing and field failure analysis.

Responsibilities For Battery Test Engineer
- Develop and execute comprehensive cell-level test plans for product validation
- Write and optimize test scripts on Arbin and Neware battery cyclers
- Perform core cell characterization tests (DCIR, SOC/OCV, HPPC)
- Analyze and interpret cell failure modes
- Design and implement life cycle validation testing matrices
- Manage and maintain cell test data and SQL database infrastructure
- Work cross-functionally with technicians and engineers
- Process and analyze test data using Python and SQL
- Optimize data flow from Neware/Arbin cyclers into SQL databases
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment
Requirements For Battery Test Engineer
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent
- Experience with battery testers and software (Maccor, Arbin, Neware)
- Deep understanding of core cell characterization tests
- Experience in designing and executing life cycle validation testing
- Strong understanding of cell failure modes
- Proficiency in SQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong statistics and probability fundamentals
