Description For Staff Software Engineer, Lyft Media

Lyft Media is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their digital ads platform team, one of the company's most profitable and fastest-growing revenue centers. This role involves working on ad experiences within the Lyft app and out-of-home displays like tablets behind driver seats and car-top displays.

The ideal candidate will guide architecture, design, quality, and best practices for the digital ads platform. Key responsibilities include defining technical roadmaps, architecting solutions, writing well-tested code, and leading cross-team initiatives. The role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.

Technical requirements include 5+ years of software engineering experience in the ad industry, proficiency in object-oriented programming, and experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). The candidate should have solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, CI tools, and scripting languages.
