Description For Senior Software Defined Radio (SDR) Engineer

Lynk is developing cellular-based space payloads and seeks a Senior SDR Engineer to support the development of SDRs for both primary (payload) and secondary (TT&C/feeder link) radio functions using a proprietary protocol. The role involves designing, developing, and testing all SDR software including its FPGA and host interface. Key responsibilities include evaluating SDRs, understanding hardware-based requirements, designing DSP algorithms, developing test software, and working with other team members to benchmark payload software applications. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, excellent foundation in DSP and Communication Theory, at least three years of recent SDR experience, and in-depth knowledge of DSP algorithms and communication theory. Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in C/C++, device drivers, and creating testbenches is required. Knowledge of cellular standards and FPGA implementation is a plus. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact billions of lives by bringing mobile broadband to underserved populations and contributing to Lynk's mission of global connectivity.
