We're looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is crucial in building the future of blockchain technology, focusing on smart contract development and protocol engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in blockchain development, particularly with EVM/SVM chains and smart contracts.
As a Senior Protocol Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing blockchain solutions, developing smart contracts, and creating high-performance indexing systems. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to deliver secure and efficient blockchain solutions.
The role requires a strong technical background with at least 6 years of experience, including 2 years in blockchain development. You should be proficient in Solidity, Rust, and various blockchain development tools. Responsibilities For Senior Protocol Engineer
- Research, design, and implement EVM/SVM L1 or L2 chains
- Contribute to Solidity or Rust development for Magic Eden's Smart contract protocols
- Develop blockchain indexing systems focusing on high performance and throughput
- Collaborate with founders, designers, engineers, and security auditors to ensure high-quality systems are delivered timely
Requirements For Senior Protocol Engineer
- 6+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in Ethereum, EVM-based or Solana-based blockchains
- Proficiency in smart contract development with Solidity, Rust, Foundry, Web3.js/Ethers.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with Ethereum or Solana Development Suites
- Expertise in writing secure, efficient, and gas-optimized smart contracts
- Strong background in building blockchains, including experience with OP stack, Arbitrum stack, Bitcoin L2, or SVM L2s
- Self-motivated, fast learner with a 'get things done' mentality
- Humble, open to challenges, and eager to embrace better ideas
