As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing Magic Leap's next-generation AR headsets, working on cutting-edge hardware designs that push the boundaries of what's possible in spatial computing. The position involves hands-on work with PCB design, including electrical schematics and layout, as well as evaluating new technologies for future implementations. You'll be working with various interfaces from basic I2C/SPI/UART to advanced high-speed protocols like USB-C, PCIe, and DisplayPort.

Responsibilities For Electrical Engineer

  • Work independently with limited supervision, managing subsystems, and participating in design of experiments
  • Printed Circuit Board(PCB) design including electrical schematic, and layout
  • Evaluate new technologies and components for next-generation designs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners
  • Support hardware and systems decisions through R&D, engineering design cycles, and validation
  • Conduct prototype bring-up and debugging of issues
  • Conduct Design Verification testing of prototypes and subsystems

Requirements For Electrical Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Schematic and PCB design experience using Cadence OrCAD or other CAD solutions
  • Experience working with I2C/SPI/UART interfaces
  • Experience working with high-speed interfaces (USB-C, PCIe, DisplayPort, MIPI, DDR)
  • Experience prototyping and proof of concept development
  • Experience using electrical bench equipment
  • Technical communication skills
  • Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams
