Description For Structural Simulation Engineer

Magic Leap is at the forefront of spatial computing, creating cutting-edge augmented reality technology that merges digital content with the physical world. As a Structural Simulation Engineer within the Simulation Team, you'll be part of a high-performing group focused on solving structural challenges for AR devices before they're built. This role involves using ANSYS FEA simulation tools to evaluate devices for optical metrics, robustness, drop performance, fatigue, human comfort, and manufacturability. You'll work closely with various teams, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and optics, to tackle unsolved issues in the nascent AR industry. The ideal candidate has 2-5+ years of professional experience in structural simulation, a Master's degree in a relevant field, strong understanding of mechanics and FEA theory, and system-level thinking. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact, solve complex problems, and contribute to shaping the future of computing. Magic Leap values diversity and empowers its employees to reimagine the world of work. Join us in making the impossible possible at the intersection of the physical and digital worlds.
