Description For Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

Join Marshalls PLC, the UK's leading manufacturer of hard landscaping and building products, as an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer in our comprehensive 4-year apprenticeship program. This role offers a structured learning experience in partnership with Newcastle & Stafford College, combining classroom education with hands-on mentoring at our manufacturing site in Keele.

As part of our engineering team, you'll be integral to keeping our machines running smoothly, specializing in maintenance, machining, fitting, and installation. The program includes a personalized training plan with dedicated mentor support, providing valuable practical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position offers a starting salary of £18,346 with annual increases, plus an extensive benefits package including healthcare, pension, and various lifestyle perks. Responsibilities For Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

  • Attend college 1 day per week and work on-site 4 days per week
  • Work alongside skilled engineering team
  • Learn maintenance, machining, fitting and installation

Requirements For Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Minimum education of 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and Science
  • Strong work ethic and keen interest in engineering and manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Own method of transport preferred due to site location
