Description For Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Marshalls PLC, the UK's leading hard landscaping manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their production site in Falkirk. The role involves ensuring continuous production by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You'll work on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems, performing both planned and reactive engineering activities. The position follows a Dupont shift pattern covering days and nights, with 42 hours per week and the benefit of 7 consecutive days off (working only 2 weekends out of 4).

Key responsibilities:

  • Continuous running of the production process
  • Fault finding and maintenance of equipment
  • Working on various types of complex systems
  • Carrying out planned and reactive engineering activities

Required skills:

  • Time served/apprentice trained with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
  • Understanding of environmental and health and safety issues
  • Practical hands-on approach
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance
  • Ability to analyze maintenance problems and provide recommendations
  • PLC knowledge (essential)
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics (advantageous)
