Marshalls PLC, a market leader in manufacturing and supplying superior natural stone and innovative concrete hard landscaping products, is seeking an Internal Sales Developer for their Falkirk location. This role is open to internal applicants only.
As an Internal Sales Developer, you will be responsible for creating quotations and converting them to orders for Marshalls Landscape Products and Services, including Natural Stone Paving, Landscape Protection, Decking, and other bespoke Products. Your main duties will include:
- Ensuring customer needs are met by creating timely, accurate, and customer-friendly quotations
- Supporting related orders, deliveries, and delivery issues during busy periods
- Contributing to a Customer-Centric Internal Sales team
- Generating profitable and sustainable direct-to-site sales
- Developing strong teamwork with external sales counterparts
- Managing sales opportunities and customer accounts using sales systems
- Understanding production/sourcing methods, shipping costs, and currency fluctuations
- Working from drawings and applying technical product knowledge for pricing
- Collaborating with Marshalls Design & Engineering, Marketing, Commercial Trading, Internal and External Sales Teams
- Recording information in CRM and liaising with Orders Advisors
The ideal candidate should have:
- Previous experience in a sales role or account management (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships
- Strong business acumen and initiative
- Resilience and tenacity
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Teamwork and cooperation skills
- Analytical thinking abilities
