Description For Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer- Days

Marshalls PLC, the UK's leading hard landscaping manufacturer and FTSE 250 company, is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their Sittingbourne production site. With a legacy dating back to the 1890s, Marshalls has established itself as a Superbrand for 13 consecutive years, known for superior natural stone and innovative concrete products.

The role offers a structured schedule of Monday to Friday (7:30 AM - 4 PM, with early 3:30 PM finish on Fridays), totaling 42 hours per week. The position demands a skilled professional capable of maintaining complex production equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

The ideal candidate will be apprentice-trained with recognized qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. They should possess strong problem-solving abilities, practical experience in maintenance operations, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of PLC and VSD systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities For Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer- Days

  • Ensure continuous running of the production process
  • Eliminate downtime through fault finding and maintenance
  • Work on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities

Requirements For Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer- Days

  • Apprentice trained with recognised Mechanical or Electrical qualifications
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
  • Practical hands-on approach
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Experience in electrical fault finding and maintenance
  • Ability to analyze maintenance problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • PLC And VSD Knowledge (advantageous)
