We are seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Beenham, Berkshire. This role is part of our ambitious plans to enhance our engineering offering at the Beenham site. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You'll work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site
- Ensure a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure
- Work as part of a skilled Engineering team
- Perform fault finding and maintenance on complex systems
Work Schedule:
- 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 3-shift rotation covering days and nights
- Shift pattern: Earlies (5:30AM-2:30PM), Nights (10:00PM-6:00AM), and Afters (13:30PM-10:30PM)
- Friday hours: Earlies (06:00AM-12:00PM), Nights (18:00PM-04:00AM), Afters (12:00PM-18:00PM)
Required Skills:
- Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Good working knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering within a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
- PLC fault finding skills (knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC desirable)
- Flexible approach to varying work activities
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Passion for engineering with a desire to learn and grow in the role
