Marshalls Landscape Protection, a leading UK manufacturer of protective street furniture, is seeking a Site Maintenance Engineer for their North Shields facility. This role involves overseeing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting production of protective street furniture and counter-terrorism products. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and manufacturing experience. Working Monday to Friday (7am - 3:30pm), the successful candidate will collaborate with the Site Operations Manager to achieve and exceed KPIs while fostering a proactive culture. Responsibilities For Site Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing Operations
- Prioritization of engineering activities
- Ensuring health, safety and environment standards
- Supporting and developing strategy with Site Operations Manager
- Meeting and exceeding KPIs
- Creating and sustaining proactive culture
- Prevention of equipment failure and downtimes
- Supporting production of protective street furniture
Requirements For Site Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing Operations
- Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications / time served apprenticeship
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in engineering related subject
- Hold 17th/18th Edition Certificate
- Experience in medium/large manufacturing operation
- Data and analytical skills
- Experience in continuous improvement/lean manufacturing
- Fault finding and rectification experience
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Technical communication skills
- Can read & understand technical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
