Description For DataMart Developer (Teradata)

We are seeking a skilled DataMart Developer with expertise in Teradata to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, CLDM, and Teradata development, including experience with stored procedures, macros, and views. You will play a crucial role in designing and developing data solutions that meet business needs.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Teradata development (stored procedures, macros, views)
  • Understanding of Communication Logical Data Model (CLDM)
  • Expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling
  • Strong SQL skills and debugging capabilities
  • Familiarity with Singlestore, Hadoop, and TIBCO

Good-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Ab Initio or other ETL tools
  • Basic shell scripting skills
  • Understanding of Apache Airflow

Responsibilities:

  1. Build Teradata stored procedures for data transfer and aggregation logic.
  2. Create or modify data models based on business requirements.
  3. Develop solutions using stored procedures, macros, and views.
  4. Apply relational and dimensional modeling techniques.
  5. Write, debug, and optimize SQL and stored procedures.
  6. Manage large datasets in Teradata and apply CLDM knowledge.
  7. Collaborate with Data Architects and Business Stakeholders.
  8. Document database designs and ensure best practices.
  9. Design fact and dimension tables for reporting.
  10. Maintain STTM documentation and update the Data Dictionary.
