Description For Curriculum Developer (Contract)

This is a remote contract position paying $40/hour for 6-7 hours per week, with potential for full-time employment after a 90-day trial period.

The role involves collaborating with educators, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to develop standards-aligned content that supports various learning styles. You'll be responsible for creating digital and print resources, authoring assessments, and refining test preparation strategies. The position requires 2+ years of educational content authoring experience and expertise in core subjects.

Responsibilities For Curriculum Developer (Contract)

  • Create asynchronous content for various lesson materials including digital and print resources
  • Participate in development pipeline including authoring, editing, and quality control
  • Achieve and maintain individual key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Attend synchronous trainings
  • Ensure lesson content is engaging, accurate, and effective

Requirements For Curriculum Developer (Contract)

  • 2+ years of educational content authoring experience outside of the classroom
  • Subject matter expert in English, Math, Science, or Social Studies
  • Experience working with curriculum companies
  • Strong understanding of key instructional concepts
  • Experience with standardized testing (ACT, SAT, EOC/EOG)
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Receptivity to feedback
  • Exceptional writing skills
