Description For Electrical Design Engineer

Matic is revolutionizing the home robotics industry by developing autonomous robots that help families reclaim time spent on household chores. Founded in 2017, they're focused on creating fully autonomous floor-cleaning robots with plans to expand into other household tasks. Their approach emphasizes privacy-first design with edge computing, ensuring user data stays secure.

The Electrical Design Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to join a pre-launch startup with immediate impact potential. You'll be working on cutting-edge robotics technology, designing and implementing crucial electrical systems that power their autonomous home robots. The position requires expertise in PCB design, component selection, and various digital protocols, while collaborating closely with a tight-knit hardware team.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, combining technical expertise with a passion for solving complex problems. You'll be part of a mission-driven team that values learning, curiosity, and high ownership. The company culture emphasizes working smart, hard, and long (in that order), with a focus on innovation and human impact.

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to work on consumer robotics products that directly improve people's lives. You'll be joining a company that's not just another robotics research lab, but one focused on creating practical, elegant solutions for real-world problems. The position offers significant growth potential as the company expands its product line and tackles increasingly complex automation challenges.
