Description For Senior Autonomy Engineer - Perception

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth as we expand our first-of-its-kind autonomous shuttle and mobility services across the nation. Launched in 2017 with a strong team of experienced roboticists, perception, behavior, AI, and software engineers with decades of experience fielding robotic systems in the wild, May Mobility is looking to expand its team of perception engineers with a background in robotics or autonomous vehicles.

As a Senior Autonomy Engineer - Perception at May Mobility, you will be at the forefront of transforming cities through autonomous technology. You'll work on developing robust, generalizable perception solutions for autonomous vehicles, collaborating with a team of experienced roboticists and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test, and deploy perception solutions for autonomous vehicles
  • Develop software in C/C++/CUDA
  • Conduct extensive testing to validate features and satisfy release schedules
  • Support development related to data, development, and ML pipeline
  • Collaborate with other perception and robotics engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of industry experience working on real-world robot perception systems
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/Python, software development in Linux environment
  • Strong experience in ML/DL development with PyTorch/TensorFlow
  • Experience in areas such as Object Detection, Semantic Segmentation, Multi-target Tracking, Sensor Fusion, and Machine Learning applied to Perception and Robotics problems

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in related field
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience with GPU programming in CUDA
