The role requires up to 50% travel and offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of Ann Arbor, MI. Candidates should have excellent problem-solving skills, experience with Linux environments, and a willingness to undergo driving record checks.

Responsibilities For Senior Field Autonomy Applications Engineer

  • Improve May's processes and tools for deploying autonomous vehicles
  • Collaborate with Autonomy, Product Management, and other engineering functions to develop features
  • Build tools and features to support and improve Field Engineering workflows
  • Represent the company professionally at public events
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional projects
  • Travel to May Mobility sites to provide hands-on support
  • Coordinate and develop on-site configuration and deployment of autonomous technology in new locations

Requirements For Senior Field Autonomy Applications Engineer

Linux
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree
  • Familiarity with principles of mobile robotics
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing or editing software
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience operating in a Linux environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50%)
  • Ability to operate and drive May Mobility vehicles
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record
