Description For Senior Quality Engineer

The Senior Quality Engineer is a key part of the Quality team focused on implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, conducting inspections and audits, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. This role will directly contribute to the design and implementation of quality management systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering, a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or commensurate quality experience, and the ability to interpret engineering documents, including CAD drawings and wiring diagrams. Responsibilities For Senior Quality Engineer

  • Establish and support system improvements for traceability of hardware issues
  • Track and trend quality issues, analyze scope of risk
  • Ensure proper documentation of quality system inputs
  • Create and implement quality checks in production work steps
  • Lead root cause-identification and problem-resolution initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop process improvements
  • Mentor, teach and train junior Quality Engineers
  • Lead projects and initiatives as necessary

Requirements For Senior Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or commensurate quality experience
  • 5+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Ability to undergo driving record check
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents, including CAD drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with automotive ISO/IATF standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
