Responsibilities For Site Autonomy Engineer

  • Coordinates and implements vehicle upfits to support fleet upgrades
  • Debugs electrical and mechanical issues on vehicles
  • Executes on-site sensor calibrations
  • Executes on-site testing of feature improvements
  • Build and maintain local May Mobility mapping assets
  • Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles
  • Records issues and resolutions
  • Tests autonomous operation of vehicles
  • Implements hardware changes in the field
  • Performs data acquisition using vehicle sensor suite
  • Coordinates on-site configuration and deployment of autonomous technology

Requirements For Site Autonomy Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience
  • Experience with Linux computing environments
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of wire harnesses and basic mechanical subsystems
  • Ability to debug and modify mechanical and electrical systems
  • Systems-level thinking
  • Experience using Git and GitHub or Gitlab
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Safety-first approach to work
