Description For Data QA Engineer

MediaRadar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data QA Engineer to join their team. This crucial role ensures the quality and reliability of data transformation and integration projects. The responsibilities include building and executing complex SQL scripts, validating data across multiple databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks, Citus, and Oracle), developing automated test scripts, creating test plans and cases, executing ETL processes, collaborating with various teams, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for test automation.

Key qualifications include proficiency in SQL, experience with multiple database systems, knowledge of SQL data testing tools, understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts, experience with CI/CD tools, and familiarity with test case and project management tools. Knowledge of Javascript, Python, and C#/.NET framework is a plus.

This is a 12-month contract role with a base salary range of $100,000 - $110,000 plus benefits. The final compensation will be based on the candidate's location, skill level, and experience, as well as the company's pay equity.

Responsibilities For Data QA Engineer

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Write and optimize SQL scripts for data validation across multiple databases
  • Execute and validate end-to-end ETL processes
  • Collaborate with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts
  • Work closely with development, data engineering, and product teams
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions
  • Develop and document best practices for test automation processes
  • Provide support to team members and stay up-to-date with industry trends

Requirements For Data QA Engineer

PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as SQL Server, Databricks, Citus/PostgreSQL, and Oracle
  • Experience with SQL data testing tools such as QuerySurge, Datafold, and Soda SQL
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and database systems
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
  • Experience with test case and project management tools such as Jira, Zephyr Squad and TestRail
  • Knowledge of Javascript, Python and C#/.NET framework is a plus
