The position reports to the Associate Vice President of Health Information Technology and involves creating sophisticated data warehouse solutions, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring data quality while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Develop software/data solutions using SQL and Python
  • Perform development and implementation of software and data applications
  • Monitor system performance trends and identify improvement opportunities
  • Document programming changes and design modifications
  • Design and support production job schedules
  • Development initiatives including data analysis, source-target mapping, data profiling

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
MongoDB
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or 5+ years equivalent experience
  • Python programming experience
  • Experience with highly available, distributed systems
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data hubs and data warehouses
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows VMs
  • Working knowledge of Git, Bitbucket
  • Experience with Azure, Azure SQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Experience developing data warehouses in healthcare environment
  • Experience with HL7 data feeds
