Description For Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Melio, you'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics solutions that drive informed business decisions. You'll work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and actionability.

Your role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including data analysts, data scientists, product engineers, and product managers. You'll be responsible for developing data solutions, designing and implementing infrastructure for data ingestion and processing in the analytics data warehouse, and creating data analytics modeling solutions focused on business decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing robust ETL processes to handle diverse structured and unstructured data sources
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance across the analytics layer
  • Designing analytics-oriented data models and data warehouses

Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Develop data solutions in collaboration with data analysts, data scientists, product engineers, and product managers
  • Design and develop the infrastructure for ingesting and processing data in the analytics data warehouse
  • Design data analytics modeling solutions focused on business decision-making
  • Write robust ETL processes, handling a variety of structured and unstructured data sources
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across the analytics layer

Requirements For Data Engineer

Python
  • 3+ years of experience working as a BI Developer or Data Engineer
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Python proficiency
  • Experience designing analytics-oriented data models and data warehouses
  • Experience working with data pipelines and ETL processes (e.g., Airflow, Luigi, AWS Glue, DBT)
  • Passionate about data with a strong analytical approach
  • Experience working with cloud environment services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
