Description For Customer Hardware Support Engineer

MemryX, Inc. is an innovative AI semiconductor startup headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with offices in Taiwan and India. The company specializes in developing cutting-edge AI accelerator chips that deliver high performance and low energy consumption for embedded Edge AI applications.

As a Customer Hardware Support Engineer, you'll join the System Engineering team in a high-impact role focused on customer hardware support and engagement. You'll be responsible for working directly with customers on hardware integration, board evaluation, and technical support for MemryX's ASIC and module solutions.

Key responsibilities include driving customer issue resolution, providing design-in support, performing board reviews (schematic, layout, signal integrity, power, and thermal solutions), and maintaining strong customer relationships. You'll also create technical documentation, conduct training sessions, and ensure quality customer support within Service Level Agreements.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in Embedded/PC Systems and Customer Engineering, with hands-on experience in ASIC/Module support and debugging high-speed interfaces. Strong technical skills and communication abilities are essential, as you'll be working closely with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities For Customer Hardware Support Engineer

  • Drive customer issue resolution with internal laboratory and field testing/debugging
  • Provide customer support for design-in activities with MemryX ASIC and modules
  • Perform customer board reviews including schematic, layout, signal integrity, power and thermal solution
  • Generate technical documentation and best practices
  • Debug customer failures and provide on-site support as needed
  • Host product training for customers and sales teams
  • Ensure quality customer issue resolution within SLA
  • Build and maintain client relationships and provide regular progress reports

Requirements For Customer Hardware Support Engineer

Linux
  • BS/MS in EE/ECE with 7+ years of experience in Embedded/PC Systems, Customer Engineering
  • Hands-on experience in customer support with ASIC/Module and various host platforms
  • Familiar with issue analysis/debugging of high-speed interfaces like PCIe/USB/DDR
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven and organized with strong technical skills
  • Experience with PCIe based ASIC support with various formfactors
  • Embedded, PC systems experience with Linux/Windows OS
  • Knowledge of ASIC design and board level implementation flow
