Systems Reliability Engineer

MEMX is searching for a Systems Reliability Engineer responsible for providing support for MEMX exchange platforms. The role involves supporting the availability of all MEMX exchange platforms, working with cross-functional teams, improving operational processes, debugging issues, enhancing monitoring and alerting, and running essential nightly processes. The shift time for this role will be 8:30am-5:30pm EST (5:30am-2:30pm PST).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for MEMX exchange platforms, including on-call duties and incident response
• Isolate and resolve unplanned system outages
• Collaborate with market operations, systems, networking, and development teams
• Identify and improve operational processes
• Document actions to create repeatable and automatable processes
• Debug issues across different services and interaction points
• Enhance monitoring and alerting based on symptoms
• Run essential nightly processes for exchange operations

Requirements:

• Good understanding of Linux and Linux Shell
• Mid to advanced Linux administration and scripting skills
• Proficiency in Bash scripting (Python is a plus)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident tracking systems
• 1-3 years of experience in an operation support role with incident response
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset and desire to improve existing processes
• Trading and/or exchange experience is a plus but not required
